Education He earned a B.S. in Chemistry Engineering, and a Master of Philosophy. This was followed by a PhD in Molecular Biology. He resides in Paris, with his son, Lou, and his wife, Line, who’s a painter. Career From 1990 Jean Philippe Blanpain joined L’Oréal in 1990 in Belgium, as Plant Quality Manager.
After assuming a position of Production Unit Manager in France, he moved to Turin, Italy, as the Plant General Manager. He came back to Paris, where was appointed Technical Director for the L’Oréal Paris Brand, managing the European facilities. He then took over as head of the “Production & Logistics” Department at the “Direction Generale Technique,” as well as the technical coordination for Asia and South America.
He has been SVP Corporate Manufacturing since October 1, 2005, in charge of Manufacturing and Logistics for North America. He took over in Spring 2007 as Operations General Manager.
